Several decades later, McGregor Gourlay’s story begins in 1897, with the founding of stock and station agents JA McGregor & Co in Warialda NSW. 

The first McGregor Gourlay branch opened in Moree, NSW, in 1987. Since then, the business has continued to expand to become one of the most dynamic privately owned rural services companies in Australia, employing over 120 staff across 14 branches located across North West NSW, the NSW Northern Rivers, and the South West QLD Border Regions serving the townships and surrounding areas of Alstonville, Bellata, Bingara, Bundarra, Croppa Creek, Delungra, Dorrigo, Grafton, Goondiwindi, Inverell, Moree, Murwillumbah, and Warialda. Today’s business offers a wide range of services to our customers and specialises in chemical, fertiliser, seed, agronomy services, rural merchandise, livestock, property, and water equipment. The associated businesses of JA McGregor Livestock and Property also offer clients a full range of livestock and real estate agency services. 

The company can call upon a proud tradition of over 125 years of service to the area through some of the best and toughest times the local agricultural community has experienced.
